As an extension of “Funtastic Maths”, Johnny has now created a series of Maths Masterclasses.

Each has its basis in Mathematics but is intended to be Cross Curricular and appeal to a wide age range. This is in line with recommendations to the government in the recent Smith (Maths) and Tomlinson (Science) Reports, which advocate broadening the curriculum in order to stimulate, enthuse and encourage more young people towards Maths, Science and Technological career paths.

The provisional Titles for these flexible initiatives are :

Johnny Ball's latest motivational show for young people, takes a humourous look at historic human failings and asks whether the next generation will do any better? He will show that the vast improvements in technology make greater success much more likely. As ever, he will enthuse over Maths and Science, but as everything today is handled Scientifically, and in the current Enterprise Culture, he will explain that whatever career path they choose, modern technology will give all today's students a greater chance of fulfilment and of making the future absolutely fantastic.
The Show opened in Science Week 2005 at Reading Concert Hall, the Theatre Royal Windsor and The Swan Theatre, High Wycombe.

It then played the University of Glamorgan and is now very flexible and works really well as a Key Stage 4 "career thoughts stimulator."
