"PAST IMPERFECT - FUTURE FANTASTIC"

Johnny Ball produced and presented this motivational lecture for K/S
4 students, prior to 6th Form, aimed at encouraging them to seriously
consider 6th form studies that will lead towards University and Career
paths in Maths, Science, Engineering and Technology.
The show will play twice daily, at 10.30 and 1.15
The show takes a humourous look at historic human failings and asks
whether the next generation will do any better? Johnny shows that from
Watt’s first Steam Engine with an efficiency around 4%, we have
moved to Electrical Generation efficiency above 50% and modern technology
and manufacturing producing products to 99.99% efficiency. As ever,
he will enthuse over Maths and Science, but as everything today is handled
Scientifically, even in the current Enterprise culture, he will explain
that whatever career path they choose, modern technology will give today's
students a far greater opportnity of fulfilment and of being a true
part of making the future of the world absolutely fantastic.
Suitable for School Parties, years 10/11 - KS4, irrespective
of their science leanings and/or Gifted and Talented at a slightly younger age.
The show lasts 90 minutes with no interval.
With original support sponsorship from SEEDA and assisted by Central Berks &
South Bucks Education and Business Partnerships.
