“ENERGY CHAMPIONS ” (1998)
Commissioned by Norweb, this Educational Musical played some 20 venues in the North West, including the Manchester Opera House, where 4000 kids saw the show in one day. This 4 hander told the story of man’s harnessing of Energy, with weapons, Coal, Steam, and today’s modern Electrical Power Generation. It also focused on conservation issues, which are so much part of the modern curriculum. Actors from the show visited schools in the fortnight following the performances to provide a further impetus for continuing work on the themes illustrated within the shows. |
